Accessible Healthcare
At avecinia wellness center, we believe your health is your wealth. It is your best investment. We want to make quality healthcare affordable and available to everyone regardless of their health insurance status. We accept almost all PPO’s and EPO’s as well as Medicare health insurance plans. We also have plans for the un-insured or the under-insured. However, we are not contracted with Medi-Cal (including Cal-Viva) or HMO’s and therefore cannot provide medical care to individuals with either plan (even if you have a Medicare/Medi-Cal plan). However, our aesthetic services, acupuncture (if we are not submitting it to insurance) and massage therapy services are open to everyone.
Convenient Healthcare
We accept all four major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) as well as HSA/FSA cards supported by Visa/MasterCard. We can also securely store your credit card and set up pre-authorized payments as well as automatic payment plans to help you avoid extra paperwork and bills and budget your healthcare costs.
By clicking on the following, you can see what the cost of an office visit, whether because you are sick, need a physical, would like acupuncture or would like Botox®, may be. The final cost will depend on the actual visit type and the details of the visit. Our prices can be compared to the average prices in Fresno by visit the Healthcare Blue Book.
If you don’t have insurance or have a high deductible
At avecinia, we believe being healthy is not the same thing as being insured. We work with our patients, whether un-insured, under insured or insured, to help them become healthy and stay healthy. For the un-insured and under-insured, our fees are some of the most reasonable in the valley. For example, once you have become established as a patient, you can come in for a quick, 1 issue visit for $60-$75 in some instances (as an established patient). We have also searched the valley for the best prices on prescriptions and labs. Use these resources to get your most basic labs for $20-$45 and great prices on medication. Remember, your health is your wealth. The longer you wait to get treatment or address a developing condition, the more it will cost you! Call Colette at 559-450-7298 if you are un-insured or under insured but need a primary care doctor to learn more about our valuable services.

Understanding your health insurance plan
Health insurance is on everyone’s mind these days. Integral to maintaining your health and well-being is understanding your health insurance coverage. Or what it means to not have health insurance coverage. Our number one concern at avecinia wellness center is you. So helping you understand health insurance is important to us as well.
The best way for you to understand your own health insurance policy is for you to ask your broker or employee benefits representative, depending on how you acquired your health insurance. Ask them for your plan’s guidebook. It is in your best intereste for you to learn what services are covered, what medication is covered, which labs are covered, before you seek treatment. We do not work for your insurance company, or any one elses for that matter. So we do not know what your insurance specifically covers and does not cover. Click “Avecinia Health Insurance Info” to learn more about key aspects of health insurance such as understanding what your copay is, how to calculate your deductible and more.
If you are considering a Health Savings Account (HSAs) or a similar product to help defray the cost of a high deductible plan, click “here“ to learn more about HSAs courtesy of the American Medical Association. Your HSA account may be used for medically approved weight loss programs such as ours used to treat specific diseases and prescription based medicines. Please contact your benefits director or insurance broker for more details regarding HSA plans.
