What is acne?
Acne is a skin condition caused pores becoming clogged. Pores get clogged when glands produce too much oil and get blocked. Dirt, debris and bacteria build up and form a “plug” or “comedone” (forming whiteheads or blackheads). If the plug breaks, the resulting swelling forms red bumps that are the visible signs associated with acne.
